We are extremely thankful for the dedication of each of these individuals.
Ed joined the Board of My Father’s House in 2021 as a staunch believer in the likelihood of successful reentry after years of incarceration for men who are given the proper resources, support programs, and community as they walk the path back to “normalcy”. Ed believes that we are all called to greatness in the eyes of our Lord, and even though these men have encountered many types of obstacles on their life path, the challenges they face are within their ability to overcome, especially with the right people/programs in place. Reentry is often a joyous time, but can also be a briar patch to navigate. My Father’s House and our team of dedicated resources are here to walk alongside every man on his journey to successful reentry.
Chris joined the Board of My Father’s House in 2021, bringing with him a profound dedication to helping others thrive. Having lived the experience of incarceration himself, Chris is a testament to the possibility of successful reentry. He understands firsthand the challenges that men face as they navigate the path back into society; and he is passionate about providing the necessary resources, support programs, and community to aid in this journey. With his personal insight and unwavering commitment, Chris and the team at My Father’s House are dedicated to walking alongside every man on his journey to successful reentry, ensuring they have the tools and encouragement needed to rebuild their lives.
While incarcerated, Jim developed a desire to help others through ministry. Having made a successful transition on parole with the support of family and friends, he understands first-hand the challenges men face after prison as they move forward with their lives. He founded My Father’s House to provide the kind of support he received to those in less fortunate circumstances.
Mike joined the Board of My Father’s House in 2024. He met Founder & CEO Jim Blum in 2012 while Jim was still in prison; and he has volunteered at My Father’s House since it was founded in 2017. Mike’s friendship with Jim opened his eyes to the need of those that are incarcerated and the redemption and forgiveness they seek when reentering their communities. Mike’s volunteering and time spent at My Father’s House are life-giving moments to him and a constant experience that affirms we are all in need of redemption and forgiveness in our own lives.
